A still life scenery in fresh water, photographed at Crystal Creek in Townsville: seagrass, deadwood overgrown with algae and some unidentified fish in the background. There is too much flash hitting the silvery bodied fish, but it doesn’t disturb all that much in this photo.

Dead Tree

We found this cylon mothership dead tree at the bottom of Crystal Creek in 5m of water. This was our try dive and there weren’t many fish around so I started experimenting and tried to frame it against the surface, using the distortion of the fisheye lens for dramatic effect.

My longest diving break in years is over and yes that feels great! I returned from a trip to Townsville last night, where we got to dive Crystal Creek, Magnetic Island, Palm Island and of course the SS Yongala.
