Gorgonian Fan in Fish Rock Cave

Fish Rock Cave has a great gorgonian fan right at the exit. If you are about the leave the cave, you can find it about 5m before the blue water on the left hand side.
For this shot, I used the D300 with a 105mm macro lens and had to get pretty close up until about 50cm. [...]

This picture of a large school of Yellowtail Scad was taken on our recent weekend trip to South West Rocks, famous for Fish Rock Cave, an underwater cavern that is very popular due to it’s reasonably shallow depth and accessible nature.
